The Foundation of Faith

Your verdict and judgment of the Lord is foundational to your faith. Faith exists because you have a positive judgment (opinion, verdict) of Him.

Your opinions about life are not meant to be judgment based on experience but rather judgment based on Him.

Sarah's Example of Faithful Judgment

"By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised." (Hebrews 11:11 NKJV)

The journey of a believer is a journey of judgment of Him who has called us.

Knowledge Determines Limitations

Your limitation is based on your knowledge. It is not for you to know additional methods but rather to know Him who can tell and teach what method to know.

Faith is an invitation for you to judge that He has ability that He is greater than whatever your problem may be.

Whatever your situation or concern is, it is not the first of its kind that God has dealt with. He has a track record of handling all situations.

The Critical Question

What is your opinion about God's ability with respect to issues of life?

"And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, 'Do you believe that I am able to do this?' They said to Him, 'Yes, Lord.'" (Matthew 9:28 NKJV)

Improving Our Knowledge of Him

How do we improve our knowledge of Him? We have to go all out to really know Him whom we have believed.

"For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." (2 Timothy 1:12 NKJV)

Knowing the Right Jesus

The Jesus you really need to know is not the incarnate Jesus or the dead Jesus but rather the One that is the Lord of all, King of kings, absolute One who is the almighty.

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him." (Ephesians 1:17 NKJV)

The Call to Grow in Knowledge

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen." (2 Peter 3:18 NKJV)

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3 NKJV)

The knowledge of the Lord gives life.

The Cost of Not Operating in Faith

When you are not functioning in faith, you lose more than you can ever know.
