The Personal Pre-eminence of Jesus in My Life
by Rev Shola Olayemi

Understanding God's Current Work
1 Corinthians 15:24-28 - Referenced in context of Christ's ultimate authority and the Father's plan.
As an individual, you cannot live your life fully until you recognize what God is doing.
Two things God is doing in these last days:
- Gathering of all things into Christ
- Building up of saints that will be gathered into Christ
Our True Citizenship
Philippians 3:20-21 - "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself."
In Christ Jesus, all things that are tamed towards Him become tamed towards you.
Jesus: The End, Not the Means
Jesus is not a means to an end. We look at Him so that we can live the kind of life He has called us to live. He is the end Himself.
The care of a property is dependent on the capacity of the owner of the property.
The Security of Belonging to Jesus
Psalm 100:3 - Referenced in the context of belonging to God.
I belong to Jesus. I am safe. I am saved.
Psalm 23:1-6 - "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever."
Revelation as Divine Invitation
All revelation of Jesus concerning you is a call to you to come up higher. Any inconsistency between what has been written and what is being experienced is meant to be an invitation to contend for the manifestation of the written Word in life and circumstances.
Faith Working Through Love
Galatians 5:6 - "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love."
Faith works because He loves us. Faith can produce because He loves. The basis of your expectation should be because He loves us.
Conclusion
The personal pre-eminence of Jesus in our lives transforms everything about how we live, think, and relate to the world around us. When we recognize that our citizenship is in heaven and that we belong completely to Jesus, we find security, purpose, and direction that the world cannot offer.
Understanding God's current work of gathering all things into Christ and building up the saints helps us align our lives with His eternal purposes. We are not merely seeking to use Jesus to get what we want; rather, we are allowing Him to be the ultimate goal and purpose of our existence.
Every revelation God gives us about who we are in Christ is an invitation to rise higher and experience more of His goodness. When there is a gap between what God has promised and what we are experiencing, it becomes a call to press in and contend for the full manifestation of His Word in our circumstances.
Remember: your faith works not because of your efforts, but because of His great love for you. Let His love be the foundation of all your expectations and the source of your confidence in Him.
