The Matter in Which I Must Not Fail
by Rev Shola Olayemi

God's Purpose Behind Your Success
God is giving you success and promotion into new territories because it is an opportunity to meet more people and bring them under the lordship of Jesus.
"But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet." (1 Corinthians 15:23-25 NKJV)
Getting people saved is about bringing them under the authority and lordship of Christ.
The Topmost Christian Priority
The topmost Christian priority is not our building, fame, comfort, success but rather about bringing all things especially men under the lordship of Jesus. This is the goal of all spiritual activities.
If God brings you into the company of wealthy people, it is because He intends to use you among them.
Who is the true destiny helper? The one who brings men under the lordship of Christ.
The Watchman's Responsibility
"But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand." (Ezekiel 33:6 NKJV)
Do not be a watchman who does not sound the alarm. Do not be an irresponsible person who does not care about the unbelief of others.
Our Ministry of Reconciliation
"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." (2 Corinthians 5:18-20 NKJV)
Reconciliation is the process by which God changes the position of men from being His enemies into His friends.
Every time we come in contact with an unreconciled person, we have a responsibility of reconciliation unto them.
Beyond Material Blessings
Do not just render financial supplies or opportunities to men. Give unto them the things that count for eternity also. That is what God is foremost interested in using you for.
Being good does not equal being saved. Cornelius was a good man but not saved.
The Gospel: God's Only Method of Salvation
If God will ever save a man, it will be by the gospel. God does not have any other thing by which He gets men saved.
Do not let your relationship to the unsaved be one ofnicety alone. Let them not regret your gift of niceness in eternity because you did not give them what they needed while on earth—the gospel.
Accountability Encounters
Your encounters with others are accountability encounters.
We may be impressed by your connection with the influential people God brings your way. God will only be impressed by how much they are influenced by you. Do not deny God's attempt to reach these people.
Speaking Truth Despite Difficulty
The truth will not always be convenient or pleasing to say but nevertheless, it is the truth. Speak it!
Every Encounter Is an Opportunity
Every encounter is an opportunity to win souls for Jesus. Ask God for wisdom. One day, the result will be clear to us.
Conclusion
The matter in which we must not fail is bringing people under the lordship of Christ through the ministry of reconciliation. God positions us for success and connects us with influential people not for our comfort but for their salvation. As watchmen and ambassadors, we carry the responsibility to share the gospel with every person we encounter, remembering that being nice is not enough—people need the truth that leads to eternal life.
