The Power to Direct Your Mind

Your mind is yours to set. Scripture makes this clear:

"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth." (Colossians 3:2 NKJV)

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 2:5 NKJV)

Paul is talking about the possibility, availability, and responsibility of instructing and directing the course of the mind on what it should focus on. Your mind is yours to direct.

Given all that Jesus has done and made available, the rudder by which you navigate the experience of your life is your mind.

The Choice Between Flesh and Spirit

"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." (Romans 8:5 NKJV)

At times, discomfort in life also means you should tune better. Assuredly, there is a frequency of peace, victory, and wholesomeness around you.

"For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." (Romans 8:6 NKJV)

Beyond Mere Humanity

There is more to us than is common to men. We are not mere men. Paul addressed this limitation in the Corinthian church:

"And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?" (1 Corinthians 3:1-3 NKJV)

If you choose to live like mere men, you will manifest like mere men. But if you choose to turn your frequency of activities to that of extraordinary men, then you will no longer be in the company of mere men.

The Importance of Proper Alignment

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV)

You cannot afford to live life like an unbeliever, especially the spiritual aspect. There must be clear distinction. The kind of way God wants you to see and react to issues, an unbeliever cannot do so.

"And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of the living God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.'" (2 Corinthians 6:15-16 NKJV)

Be careful that your pursuit in life is not an idol.

The Reality of Your New Nature

There is good order and steadfastness of faith in Christ. If your heart is on the flesh, it is because you put it on the flesh.

To reconcile is to reconfigure your life to the tune of the Word of God. All you need is to enter into the consciousness of the truth and stay there.

Your blessing is in your attention. That is what dictates your state of wellbeing.

The Eternal Perspective

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NKJV)
